The room where most evenings begin and end. Two Saint Andrew's crosses keep the walls. A throne keeps the centre. A web of chains keeps the air.
Wood, leather, low light. The principal stage is large enough to host a long passage of work — restraint, impact, and aftercare with no interruption between. Every fitting is here for use; nothing is decorative for its own sake.
The room is anchored by two Saint Andrew's crosses placed at angles to one another, a low throne with a heavy back, and the chain web beside the wall — a structure half restraint, half ornament. A small viewing balcony permits a witnessed scene where the protocol allows.
The room is large enough for a story. It is also small enough that the story cannot escape.
